As we sit down to Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends each of us are mindful of the many problems facing our great country and asking ourselves "What do we have to be thankful for this year?"
I believe that even with the many problems facing us this year, we have much to be thankful for.
We have some serious challenges: rising unemployment, wars being waged on two different fronts, unprecedented deficits, out of control government spending,
Nevertheless, our country remains the place where most of the people of the world yearn to come to. We are protected every day by the greatest military the world has ever known. We have freedoms that most people only dream of.
When you join your loved ones on Thanksgiving Day, say a prayer for our great nation, that we may come together to solve our problems. Remember our servicemen and women, serving away from home on this holiday so that we remain the greatest country in the world.
